Gaza - Palestine Press - A spokesman for UNRWA, 'UNRWA' Saturday there was no truth to the rumors about the evacuation of its headquarters after the recent Israeli escalation in the Gaza Strip.
Said Adnan Abu Hasna, in a press statement that the report was written for that UNRWA plans to evacuate some of its international staff from the Gaza Strip or Israel requested evacuation 'unfounded'.
He added that Abu hasan 'Israel did not ask us to evacuate our employees and the rumors on this subject lies not unfounded'.
He stated that the 'international workers in the institutions of UNRWA found mostly in the Gaza Strip must be aware that some staff are leaving Gaza at the end of each week for a vacation out of Gaza, no more no less'.
He continued 'business as usual UNRWA operations in all areas of life to serve more than one million two hundred thousand refugees or delay or disable any of them'.
Gaza has seen last week in the tense situation on the ground after the release of Palestinian factions scores of rockets into southern Israel, which responded to launch a series of raids resulted in the deaths of ten Palestinians and wounded dozens.
There were reports about the intention of the international relief agency and other international institutions working in the Gaza Strip evacuation of international staff from the sector in light of the escalation of Israeli threats to launch a large-scale military in the event of continued rocket fire
